31 And of the half tribe of Manasseh , eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name , to come and make David King.
Which was within Iordan: for of the other half beyond Iordan he speaks v. 37.
Which were not ashamed nor afraid publickly to own David first by putting their Names to some Paper presented to them for that purpose; and then by marching to him to Hebron.
