1 Corinthians12:9
9 To another faith by the same Spirit : to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit .
To another, he saith, is given Faith. By which cannot be understood that Faith which is common to all Christians, for he is speaking of such gifts as were given to some Christians, not to all; he must therefore mean, either a Faith of Miracles, that is, a perswasion that God would work a Miracle in this or that case, or a great knowledge in the matters of Faith; or a great confidence and boldness in the discharge of their Office.
To another the gift of Healing, of healing diseases miraculously, without the application of ordinary rational Medicines.
