27 ¶ And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father , when they were in Egypt , in Pharaohs house ?

i. e. Either, 1. In Pharaohs Land, the whole Kingdom being as it were o[illegible: 1+ letters] great Family, whereof [illegible: 1 word] was the Master. Or, 2. In Pharaohs Court, where [illegible: 1 word] might probably be at the time of this Revelation, either to answer to some Accusation against him, or his Brethren, or to beg some Relaxation of the Rigor, or for some other occasion.
