2 Corinthians2:3

3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice, having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all .

This hath been the cause of my writing this second Epistle to you, before I my self came in person, that you might have a time more fully and perfectly to reform such things as [illegible: 1 span] amongst you, and I have formerly given you notice of; lest when I come, i[illegible: 1 letter]stead of rejoycing in you, as I ought to do, or having any just occasion so to do, I might meet with what would give me nothing but trouble and sadness; which would not only be grievous to me, but would be contrary to you[illegible: 1 letter] duty, for I ought to rejoyce in you, and you [illegible: 1 word] so [illegible: 1 letter]o behave your selves, that I may have cause to rejoyce in you. And I have confidence in the most of you, [illegible: 1 word] in all you who are sincere, that you would all be glad to [illegible: 1 letter]ee [illegible: 1 letter]e glad and chearful▪ rejoycing in my society with you.
