2 Corinthians5:7
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight .
That is, we live, and order our conversations, not by sight, or any evidence of sense, but by Faith, (which is described by the Apostle, Heb. 11.1. to be the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.) We see nothing here by the eye of sense but mortality, corruption, and misery; but by Faith we see another more excellent and glorious state, and we order our life according to our Faith, and fight of things that are invisible: Or Sight here may be taken more strictly for the beatifick Vision prepared in Heaven for the Sa[illegible: 3 letters]s.
