2 Samuel16:13
13 And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hills side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust .
Not that he could reach, or hurt him with it; but onely as an expression of Contempt. And the like is to be thought concerning the Stones, wherewith he could not think to reach David, when he was Encamped with his Men on every side.
