2 Timothy2:12
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him , If we deny him, he will also deny us .
That is, If we suffer for his Names sake for a constant owning, and adherence to his Doctrine of Faith, or discharge of any trust he hath reposed in us, we shall reign with him in Glory.
But if we upon prospect of danger deny his truth, or desert the profession of him, he in the day of Judgment will not own us before his Father, and the holy Angels, Matth. 10.33. Mar. 8.38. Rom. 8.17.
