Matthew Poole and continuators on Acts 10:45

45 And they of the circumcision which believed, were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the holy Ghost.

Such as were not onely themselves circumcised, but born of circumcised parents, who are thus called, Gal. 2.12.

These not minding▪ or understanding the many predictions of the calling of the Gentiles, thought that Christ was onely promised unto the Iews; and were amazed to see now such an Argument as might convince them to the contrary.

Pouring out, speaks the abundant measure in which the Holy Ghost was given unto them.
