Acts13:23
23 Of this mans seed hath God according to his promise, raised unto Israel a Saviour Jesus:
Christ was the Son of David, and so frequently called, Matth. 1.1. Luke 18.38, 39. with reference unto the promise made, Isaiah 11.1. spoken of Chap. 2.30. Rom. 1.3.
Because he lived amongst the Iews, and Salvation was first offered unto them by him, as verse 46.
Our Saviours name is added, to shew that he truely was according to his name, and what he was said to be, as Matthew 1.21.
