Acts28:20
20 For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
See Chap. 23.6. and 24.21. This Hope is either, 1. of the Resurrection, as in the forementioned places; and Ch. 26.6, 7. or 2 the Messiah, Christ is the Hope of Israel, so they pretended for many ages, and him now Paul Preached.
For tho he had his liberty to go abroad, yet he was chained with his Right hand to the Soldiers Left hand who went with him; and could not possibly be loosned unwittingly from him.
