Acts4:27

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were gathered together,

It speaks Christs dearness to God as a Child, and obeying of God as a Servant.

To be a King, Priest, and Prophet to his Church.

A strange agreement against Christ, his truths and people, (Gentiles and Iews never combin'd so together.) Henceforth it is no dishonour to any, if they follow that which is good, to have great and many enemies, for so had our Saviour; nor is it any honour to any, to persecute and despise such; so did Herod, Pilate, Iudas, &c.
