26 And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth , unto Sihon King of Heshbon, with words of peace , saying,
So called from a city of that name, Ios. 13. 18. and called Iesimon, Numo. 21. 20.
With offers of peace, which they refusing, their destruction was highly just and reasonable.
