Deuteronomy3:10
10 All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead , and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
Gilead is sometimes taken largely for all the Israe[illegible: 1+ letters]ites possessions beyond Iordan, and so it comprehends Bashan, but here more strictly for that part of it which lies in and near mount Gilead, and so it is distinguished from Bashan and Argob.
