Deuteronomy34:9
9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom : for Moses had laid his hands upon him , and the children of Israel hearkned unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
And other gifts and graces too, as appears from the History, but Wisdom is mentioned as being most necessary for the Government to which he was now called.
Which God had appointed as a sign to Moses and Ioshua and the Israelites that this was the person whom he had appointed and qualified for his great work. See Numb. 27. 18, &c. compare Gen. 48. 10. Numb. 8. 10.
