Ephesians5:25
25 Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave himself for it .
Viz. with a sincere, pure, ardent▪ and constant affection. As they resemble Christ in the honour they have of being the heads of their wives, so they must likewise in performing the duty of loving them, under which all Matrimonial duties are comprehended.
Whereby he testified the greatness of his love.
