17 And the shepherds came and drove them away : but Moses stood up and helped them , and watered their flock.
That they might enjoy the fruit of their labours, and make use of the water which they had drawn for their own cattle.
Either by perswading them with fair words, or by force, for Moses was strong and full of courage and resolution, wherewith the Shepherds were easily daunted.
