Matthew Poole and continuators on Ezekiel 27:34

34 In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters , thy merchandise , and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.

So soon as, or ever after the unhappy day.

Shattered to pieces.

The Powers of the Babylonians that like Seas shall swell, roar, and break in upon thee.

In the deepest afflictions, and by sorest oppressions, and violence.

All thy Trade.

The multitude of thy Citizens, of thy hired Souldiers, of thy Allies abroad, and of those, that came into thy Markets for Trade shall cease, wither, and perish too.
