Ezekiel33:2
2. Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, when I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
The Prophet, after three years silence injoined him, now hath his mouth opened by new Commission.
To the Iews in General, to whom he had not spoke since what he spake in the 24th Chapter.
Propound a parable unto them.
If at any time
War, or any sore judgment.
Choose out a man, who lives on the Borders, knows the Avenues, and the wayes, the Enemy will most likely come to assault them.
Appoint him to watch the Coasts, that they may not be surprised.
