Ezekiel36:18
18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the bloud that they had shed upon the land, and for their Idols wherewith they had polluted it.
These and other sins were the true cause, that the land was emptied of men, there was no ground for the Heathens alumny.
I was angry with them, and the effects of my anger were such, as made the land and cities desolate.
For Murthers committed in the land, and frequently charged on them, Ezek. 22.3, 6.9, 12, 27. and chap. 23.45.
Idolatry was another of their sins, which brought desolation on them.
