10 And between the chambers was the wideness of twenty cubits, round about the house on every side.

That on one side joined to the Temple, and were publick repositories for offerings, and tithes, &c. and those other chambers, which were built on the wall of this Inner Court, and were lodgings for the Priests, there was a void space, or Pavement in the open Air twenty Cubits broad, and these round about on all sides of the Court, and probably some Railes, or Ballisters, or low Wall round too before them enclosing this space.
