22 Joseph is a fruitful bough , even a fruitful bough by a well , whose branches run over the wall .

In regard of those two numerous Tribes which proceeded from his two sons.

Or, fountain, or water-course, which scituation doth much further the growth of trees. See Psal. 1. 3. and Ezek. 19. 10.

(i. e.) Which is planted by a wall, whose heat furthers its growth, no less than the moisture of the water doth.
