Isaiah8:22
22 And they shall look unto the earth : and behold, trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness .
Finding no help from Heaven, they turn their Eyes downward, looking hither and thither for Comfort.
Many Words expressing the same thing are put together, to signifie the variety and extremity and continuance of their Miseries.
