Jeremiah27:22

22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD , then will I bring them up, and restore them, to this place .

See the fulfilling of this Prophesie, 2 Kin. 25.13, 14, 15. 2 Chron. 36.18. and that they abode in Babylon till the end of the Captivity appeareth from Dan. 5.2. where we read of Belshazzars sending for them to drink Wine in, at his fatal Feast.

That is until the expiration of the time of the Iewish Captivity, which was 70 years.

The fulfilling of that part of the Prophesie, we have Ezra 1.7, 8, 9. in these words, Also Cyrus the King brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Hierusalem; and had put them in the house of his Gods. Even those did Cyrus King of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the Treasurer, and numbred them unto Shezbazzar, the Prince of Iudah. And this is the number of them, thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives, thirty basons of Gold, silver basons of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand. All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Shezbazzar bring up with them of the captivity, that were brought up from Babylon to Hierusalem, So punctually was Ieremiahs Prophesie in this place fulfilled, and so exactly doth one part of holy writ agree with another, which are great arguments to prove the Divine Authority of the Holy Scriptures.
