Matthew Poole and continuators on Jeremiah 32:1

1 THE word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar .

That is something more then a year before the City was taken, for it was taken in the fourth moneth of the 11th. year of this Kings Reign, chap. 39.2. This tenth year concurred with the eighteenth year of the King of Babylons absolute Reign, who began so to Reign in the third and fourth year of Iehoiakim, Dan. 1.1. so as Iehoiakims last year was the seventh and eighth of Nebuchadrezzar, who is also sometimes called Nebuchadnezzar and Nabuchodonosor.
