16 ¶ Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the Lord, saying .
What he prayed for; the matter of his prayer in the following verses will inform us, but it should seem by it, that he was not without his perplexities, though he yielded an absolute obedie[illegible: 1 letter]ce to Gods command, yet he prayeth for a clearer revelation of his meaning in this thing.
