Jeremiah51:35
35 The violence done to me, and to my flesh, be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Ierusalem say .
The words are either a Prayer, or a prediction of Gods vengeance upon Babylon, so Psalm 137. v. 7, 8. God hath said vengeance is his and he will repay it. The Church of the Jews here commits its cause to God, and prayeth him to execute vengeance for her. How far it is lawful for us to pray against our Enemies, we have heard once and again.
