Job24:14

14. The murderer rising with the light , killeth the poor and needy , and in the night is as a thief .

As soon as the light appears, using no less diligence in his wicked practises, than Labourers do in their honest and daily employments.

Where he finds nothing to satisfie his covetousness, he exerciseth his cruelty.

i. e. He is really a Thief, the Particle as being oft used to express not the resemblance, but the truth of the thing, as Num. 1[illegible: 1+ letters]. 1. Deut. 9. 10. Hos. 4. 4. & 5. 10. Iohn 1. 14. In the Night they rob men secretly and cunningly, as in the Day-time they do it more openly and avowedly.

Marginal references: [illegible: 1+ letters]sal. 10. 8.
