Job7:21

21. And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity ? for now shall I sleep in the dust ; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be .

Seeing thou art so gracious to others, so ready to preserve and pardon them, why may not I hope for the same favour from thee?

If thou doest not speedily help me, it will be too late, I shall be dead, and so uncapable of those blessings which thou usest to give to men in the land of the living.

i. e. When thou shalt diligently seek for me, that thou maiest shew favour to me, thou wilt find that I am dead and gone, and so wilt lose thy opportunity: Help therefore speedily.
