37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him .
The Miracles of Christ did not work faith in any, yet they had a tendency both to prepare Souls for an assent to the proposition of the Gospel, and also for receiving Christ as the true Messiah; and Saviour of the world; as they evidenced a Divine Power in him by which he wrought those mighty Works; but yet they had not this effect upon the generality of the Iews.
