John9:21

21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not, or who hath opened his eyes we know not; He is of age, ask him, he shall speak for himself.

But besides this, The Parents of this man proved honester, and stouter, than it may be the Pharisees did expect. They affirm, That they knew that he was their Son, and that he was born Blind. But for the Third Question, How he now saw, they avoid an answer to that, being possibly no Eye-witnesses of Christ when he wrought the Miracle. For this they refer them to their Son, who was no Babe, but a man grown, one of Age, able to speak for himself; of whom they might enquire, and he was best able, as to this thing, to give them satisfaction.
