Matthew10:26
26 Fear them not▪ therefore: for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, and hid that shall not be known,
This is a proverbial Speech used by our Saviour, upon more occasions than this, Mar. 4.22. Luk. 8.17. & 12.2. As to his present use of it, the Sense is: Tho my Gospel be now covered, and hid; yet it shall be revealed, and made known. Or, Tho your Innocency be hid, and covered, yet God shall bring forth your Judgment as the Light, and your Righteousness as the Noon-day. Or, Tho your Enemies Rage and Malice be hid, and their Vengeance seemeth to sleep, yet it shall be revealed. The first seemeth most probable, from what followeth in the next Verse, which he seemeth to speak as a means to it.
