Matthew15:12
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were o[illegible: 1 letter]fended, after they heard this saying?
The Pharisees offence was without Question, at his making so light a Matter at their Washings, not that they understood our Saviour, as speaking against the distinction of M[illegible: 2 letters]ts, which was E[illegible: 1 letter]tablished by the Ceremonial Law, not as yet abrogated. There's nothing doth more offend Hypoc[illegible: 2 letters]tes, than pre[illegible: 1 letter]sing spiritual Worsh[illegible: 1 letter]p and Homage to God, and the [illegible: 1 letter]lighting of all external Rites and Actions, not attended with a sutable inward Homage, and Devotion of Heart.
