Micah6:10

10 ¶ Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked , and the scant measure that is abominable ?

After so many express Lawes, peremptorily forbidding so many examples of punishments on such, after so many reproofs, menaces and exhortations by so many Prophets, dare you still do so un[illegible: 1 letter]ustly?

Gotten by injurious oppressive courses, ill gotten Wealth, here called Treasures of wickedness, the wickedness wherewith they raked their Wealth together is l[illegible: 1 letter]id up with their Wealth, as the like is said, Iames 5.3.

None have thought of restoring their ill gotten goods, the wicked Fathers, who heapt them together, laid them up in their houses, and the Children retain them; The House, i. e. Family of these do as their Fathers, store up violence, and so do directly contrary to the first rule, verse 7. do justly.

Which is less then Standard, vid. Amos 8.5. by which these unrighteous ones did both offend against God, and cousen their Chapmen.

God abhors such injustice, Prov. 11.1. and 2[illegible: 1 letter].10, 23. and Deut. 25.13, 14.15.16. It is most hateful in his [illegible: 1 letter]ight.

Marginal references: Or, is there yet unto every man an house of the wicked, &c.; Heb. measure of scantn[illegible: 1 letter]ss.
