Micah6:13

13 Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate , because of thy sins .

For these many sins of violence, frauds and lies.

Some read, I have begun to smite thee, so it su[illegible: 1 letter]ts well with the history of the Wars, rapine, captivity or desolation by the Syrians, Assyrians, Arabians, &c. brought upon Israel and Iudah, which were the beginnings of their sorrows, and Gods just punishments, but as we read it sick in smiting, it will as well suit with the Grammatical construction of the words, with the History too, and thus 'twill give the greater Emphas[illegible: 1 letter]s to the words; God will ere long so smite, that the strokes of his rod should teach the very heart, and make Israel heart sick of his wounds, inflicted on him by the Lord.

This was fully accomplisht, when the Kingdom of the ten Tribes was overthrown by Salmaneser, and the Kingdom of the two Tribes captivated by N[illegible: 2 letters]uchadnezzar.

Multiplyed, aggravated, obstinately retain'd and not repented of.
