14 I am not able to bear all this people alone , because it is too heavy for me.
(i. e.) The burden of providing for and satisfying of them.
Obj. How was he alone, when there were others added to help him, Exod. 18. 21, 24? Ans. Those were onely assistant to him in civil causes and smaller matters, but the harder and greater affairs, such as this unquestionably was, were brought to Moses and determined by him alone, Exod. 18. 22.
