Numbers12:2
2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us ? And the LORD heard it .
Are not we Prophets as well as he? so Aaron was made, Exod. 4. 15, 16. and so Miriam is called, Exod. 15. 20. See also Mic. 6. 4. And Moses hath debased and mixed the holy seed, which we have not done. Why then should he take all power to himself and rule and make rulers as he pleaseth without consulting us in the case?
(i. e.) Observed their words and carriage to Moses.
