Matthew Poole and continuators on Numbers 16:41

41 But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, ye have killed the people of the LORD .

Prodigious wickedness and madness so soon to forget such a terrible instance of divine vengeance.

You, who should have preserved them and interceded for them, have pulled down Gods wrath upon them, for the maintenance of your own authority and interest.

So they call those wicked wretches, and rebels against God: which shews the power of passion and prejudice to corrupt mens judgments.
