Philippians4:2
2 I beseech Euodias, and I b seech Syntyche , that they be of the same mind in the Lord .
After his general perswasive to perseverance he doth here particularly by name with great affectionateness importune two women, who had been very usefull in that Church for the furtherance of the Gospel that they would come to a better understanding of each other, and the interest of Religion amongst them who received the Gospel upon Paul's preaching, Act. 16.13.
As he had moved all to love, unity, and amity, (as it became disciples of Christ) c. 2.2. So he doth here especially move them unto unanimity according to the mind of the Lord, and his way, for the sake of him whose honour is to be prefer'd to all private concerns, Rom. 15.5.
