Matthew Poole and continuators on Proverbs 10:18

18. He that hideth hatred with lying lips , and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

With flattering words and false pretences of Friendship.

Heb. he, i. e. both of them, one no less than the other. So he condemneth two opposite vices, secret Hatred, and manifest slander.

f Because a sinner, and because the mischief of these things will fall upon himself.
