Proverbs24:17
17 Rejoyce not when thine enemy falleth h, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
g To wit, into mischief, as in the former Verse. Please not thy self in his destruction. Which plainly shews that the love of our enemies is a Precept of the Old Law as well as of the Gospel. See Exod. 23. 4, 5.
