Proverbs28:26

26 He that trusteth in his own heart , is a fool : but whoso walketh wisely , he shall be delivered .

Who trusts to his own wit, neglecting or slighting the advice of others, and the counsel of God himself.

And shall receive the fruit of his folly, to wit, destruction.

Distrusting his own judgment, and seeking the advice of others, and especially of God, as all truly wise men do.

From those dangers and mischiefs which fools bring upon themselves; whereby he sheweth himself to be a wise Man.
