Psalms127:1
1 EXcept the LORD build the house , they labour in vain that build it : except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
i. e. Assist and bless those that build the house, either an artificial house, the Temple, or the Royal Palace, or any of those numerous structures which Solomon raised; or a natural or civil house, a family or a State or Kingdom.
They will never bring it to perfection, nor have any comfort in it.
