Psalms18:2

2. The LORD is my rock and fortress, and my deliverer: my God, my strength in whom I will trust, my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

To which I flee for refuge, as the Israelites did to their Rocks. See Iudg. 6. 2. 1 Sam. 13. 6.

By which I have both defended my self and subdued mine Enemies. It is a Metaphor from those Beasts whose strength lyes in their Horns. The Horn is oft put for Power, as Psal. 92. 10. Amos 6. 1[illegible: 1+ letters]. and elsewhere.

Marginal references: Heb. my Rock, Or Cli[illegible: 1+ letters].; Heb. 2. 13.
