35. I have seen the wicked in great power , and spreading himself like a green bay-tree .

Or, Formidable: Not onely himself out of Danger, as it seemed, but terrible to others.

And therefore firmly, and deeply Rooted.

Which is continually Green and flourishing, yea even in the Winter season. Or, like a Green Tree in its own Native soil; where Trees flourish much better, than when they are Transplanted into another soil.
