6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that the[illegible: 1 letter]ein are, and the earth and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein ; that there should be time no longer .

That is, by God; for this Description can agree to no other, neither is it lawful to Swear by any other, see Dan. 12.7▪

There shall be an end of the World (so some,) but this Iohn knew well enough. It is rather to be understood of the time of the fourth Monarchy, the Roman Empire should come to an end. Or the time of the Afflictions of the Church, whether by Pagan or Antichristian Enemies, should be no more.
