Matthew Poole and continuators on Romans 5:11

11 And not only so , but we also joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement .

q. d. We don't only rejoyce in the hope of Glory, and in tribulation of which he had spoken. v. 2.3. (all that fell in between, being a long parenthesis) but we rejoyce & glory in God himself, who is become our God and merciful Father in Jesus Christ.

This is rendred as the reason why we should rejoyce in God through Jesus Christ; for by him God is attoned or reconciled, satisfaction being made for our Sins in his Blood. The particle now hath its Emphasis, to shew the priviledg of those who live in these times of the Gospel.
