Romans8:24
24. For we are saved by hope: But hope that is seen, is not hope; for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for ?
Though we certainly believe there is such a Redemption or Salvation belonging to us, according to the promise of God, yet for the present we have no possession of it; all the Salvation we have at present is in hope; which according to the nature of it, is of things not yet enjoyed, for vision or possession puts an end to hope; no man hopeth for what he seeth and enjoyeth.
