30. What shall we say then ? That the Gentiles which followed not after righteousness , have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith .

This is the Conclusion of the Apostles Discourse about the Election of some, and the Rejection of others; as also about the calling of the Gentiles, and the casting off the Iews.

That never minded or regarded it: Instead of following after it, they Fled from it. They were full of all Unrighteousness, chap. 1.18. to the end, Eph. 2.2, 3.

Viz. Gospel-Righteousness, or the Righteousness of Christ, which is received by true Faith.
