Ver. 26. I make a decree] It is the honour of Princes to make laws for the maintenance of religion, 2 Chron. 30.4, 5.
And his Kingdom, that which ſhall not be deſtroyed] Daniels dialect touching Chriſt and his Kingdom, chap. 2.44. & 7.14, 27. By converſing with that good man Darius had learend ſomething: as thoſe that walk much in the Sun are apt to be tann'd and diſcoloured.
