Daniel7:15
Ver. 15. I Daniel was grieved in my ſpirit] Chald. My ſpirit was ſtabbed thorough, ſo that my body became as an empty ſheath, or ſcabbard. In the midſt of my body] Chald. of my ſheath: the body is but the ſouls ſheath (Pliny, in the hiſtory of Hermotinus Clazometius, Lib. 7. cap. 52. maketh uſe of the ſame Metaphor) and compared to the ſoul, it is but as a clay wall that encompaſſeth a treaſure; as a wodden box of a Jeweller; as a courſe caſe to a rich inſtrument; or as a mask to a beautiful face.
